I am in love with Stuart Sutcliffe. There is just no way around it. The REAL 5th Beatle (Pete Best can go to HELL for all I care) wasn't only another piece of Beatle-eyecandy. He was an artist. A beautiful, BEAUTIFUL artist. He created many extroadinary works in his time. I'm still facinated from his simple sketches in artifactual notebooks to his masterpiece paintings! He vividly express himself through a beauty only he could see through his eyes. Though best friends to Lennon, Stu and John's relationship really prooved the theory of "opposites attract". While John was rough, witty, and your natural Liverpudlian, Stuart was shy, sensative, and a quiet one with the ladies. He was everything a woman could want (You lucky, lucky Astrid, you). Today, his paintings are inspiring. Its only too bad that people like PAULINE SUTCLIFFE have to exploit his legacy to the max that money can buy. She auctioned off Stuart's entire estate, filled with personal items and priceless paintings, valued well over 7 million pounds, and why? Because she wanted to "respect" her brother's wishes and keep his name alive...by her getting filthy, disgustingly rich. Needless to say, Pauline has written a book with more BS to poke fun at. "John and Stuart had a sexual relationship." Right, Pauline. "John was also responsible for Stuart's death." Hmmm, controversial bollocks sure does sell these days, doesn't it, honey? I wouldn't want to leave you all on a sour note thinking of annoying exploiters so let me say this: STUART SUTCLIFFE ROCKS MY WORLD! I spent hours collecting these magnificent paintings of his for your viewing delight. Take a moment to see what masterpieces he has come up with...

Stuart's breathe-taking self-portrait. I love his use of colors and rythmn. I've painted a self-portrait myself, using his technique.

Stuart's sketch in a letter that would later become a design the Beatles wore. Good luck reading his chicken scratch.
